Introductory training on the FFGI Methodology
Fair Finance Asia (FFA) and research partner Profundo have produced an introductory training video to build the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) to leverage the Finance Guide International (FFGI) Methodology.
The FFGI Methodology is leveraged by FFA coalitions to assess Asian financial institutions’ publicly available sustainability policies across themes, such as climate change, human rights, gender equality, and transparency and accountability.

Introductory training on taxonomies for sustainable finance
FFA, in collaboration with research partner, Myriam Vander Stichele, Senior Researcher, Centre for Research on Multinational Corporations (SOMO), has produced a training video to build the capacity of CSOs on the fundamentals of taxonomies for sustainable finance and their development across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and FFA coalition countries.
A taxonomy for sustainable finance is a framework to classify and categorize economic activities or projects aimed at achieving environmental, social, or sustainable objective. In essence, such taxonomies should enable financial flows toward activities that support the transition towards sustainability and in line with the achievement of the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Introductory Training on ESG Disclosures
FFA, in collaboration with Environmental Resources Management (ERM), has produced a training video to enhance CSOs’ understanding of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures.
ESG disclosures is the practice of measuring, disclosing, and being accountable to internal and external stakeholders for organizational performance against specific ESG goals and metrics that support sustainable development and embed sustainability into a company’s overall strategy and policies. Such initiatives are critical to promoting greater financial transparency and corporate accountability, and highly complementary to CSO-led benchmarking initiatives such as the use of the FFGI Methodology.
